Q+A Loves: March Edition

Hello!

Spring has sprung and we have all been so excited for the weather to heat up this March! Whilst we're still spread across Norfolk, Team Q+A has been enjoying the sunshine and looking forward to being all in one place again in the near future. Our team has expanded, and we've also grown in reach this month, with Q+A opening its online US store! But with all this excitement going on, we've found time to enjoy our at-home hours...

What have we been watching?

Whether its a new season of our favourite show, or something we've never seen before...

Unforgotten

Paige joined the Q+A team this month as our Stock Administrator, and she's already found common ground with Faye with this crime drama series!

The Bold Type

Chloe and Rose have been tuning into this comedy drama starring three young women working for a women's magazine, Scarlett, in New York.

Line of Duty

With the sixth season of this police-focused drama airing this month, Andrew and Gary have had something extra to look forward to each week!

Masterchef Australia

We welcomed Wendy to the team this month as our Purchasing Administrator, and she's given us a little variety from drama with Masterchef. Her appreciation of the Aussie version is definitely worth lots of brownie points in my opinion!

Other notables:

Snowpiercer- Amy, eCommerce Coordinator

The Repair Shop - Julia, Finance Director

Ronin - Alexander,  Director

The Circle - Lucy, Brand Marketing Coordinator

Spies in Disguise - Patrick, Business Systems Analyst

What are we reading?

From educational, to inspiring, to heart-wrenching...

Never Greener - Ruth Jones

From screenwriting Gavin & Stacy to her debut novel, Jones asks us if all second chances are worth taking in this pick from Chloe!

Troy - Stephen Fry

Janet thoroughly enjoyed Fry's first two Greek Myth books, Mythos and Heroes, and thought to give this one a read as well... And loved it!

A Little Life - Hanya Yanagihara

Andrew's choice this month is a dark tale of a quartet of graduates as their easy successes fall apart with their scars of the past.

The Crossing - Cormac McCarthy

The second book in McCarthy's Border Trilogy, Rich has been reading this coming-of-age novel set between southwest United States and Mexico.

Other notables:

Braving the Wilderness by Brene Brown - Nicola, Production Assistant

The Guilty Feminist by Deborah Frances-White - Paige, Stock Administrator

Ghosts by Dolly Alderton - Isabella, Key Account Manager

Henry 'Chips' Channon: The Diaries: 1918-38 by Chips Channon - Al, Director

What else have we been up to?

Our evenings and weekends aren't going to occupy themselves...

Home Decorating

Making the most of (hopefully) our last month with a stay at home order, Tim, Gary and Chloe have been making home improvements and decorating! Hopefully some pics to follow...

Admiring new family members

Both Rose and I saw our extended families grow by one this month, with Rose gaining a cousin, and I became an Aunt! Without being able to hold them in person, we can't get enough of the cute photos!

Keeping Chickens

Julia's March has been chickens, chickens, chickens! She's been reading up on keeping them happy, and hoping for eggs!

Gardening

Spring means blooming gardens! Rich is getting in early to do everything up in time for garden guests and enjoying those warm days outside!

Welcoming a new furry face!

Paige has been gracing us all at Q+A with adorable pics of her new puppy, Wilf! We can't wait for cuddles in person

What have we been listening to?

Our soundtrack to Spring!

Happiness in Liquid Form - Alfie Templeman
Lucy

Luka - Suzanne Vega
Faye

If We Don't Make It - UNKLE
Andrew

Trying Not To Think About You - filous, Nina Chuba
Amy

Sunday Best - Surfaces
Isabella

Can't Stop - Bastille
Tim

Which Q+A products have we been reaching for?

Wilf has already picked his favourites, although we're not quite sure why he's worrying about anti-ageing at such a young age!

Lucy and Gary agreed this month that Seaweed Peptide Eye Gel was just hitting the spot, with Lucy finding it super soothing and light for her skin. Faye, Isabella and Wendy are sticking with their Caffeine Eye Serums, keeping them looking bright and awake!

But team Q+A has also been loving their cleansers in March, with hot contention between the Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Cleanser and Grapefruit Cleansing Balm. It's a good thing these two products work so well together! Rose has loved how hydrating and soothing the Hyaluronic Acid has been for her, and Julia is impressed by how long one tube lasts. But with one extra vote, Grapefruit comes out on top, with Andrew's comment of "Love it!" and Chloe swearing by its makeup removing powers!

And with that, we wrap up March! I hope you've had a great start to spring, and that it's only looking up from here! Let us know if there's anything that has kept you sane the last 31 days!

See you next month 👋
