When Q+A launched, we had just one wonderful cleanser, so building your routine was a piece of cake. Four years later, we now have four amazing cleansers in the Q+A line-up! With that in mind, we thought a little guide to finding the cleanser that is perfectly suited to your skin may come in handy…
Grapefruit Cleansing Balm
Best for: Dry, Normal and Combination skin
Benefits: Hydrating, Moisturising, Nourishing
If you love to feel your makeup simply melt away, say hello to the Grapefruit Cleansing Balm. Grapefruit is high in Vitamin C, making it great for helping to brighten dull skin and keeping your skin biome balanced and happy. Within this nourishing formula, you’ll also find Squalane, which is a fantastic moisturising ingredient for combination and drier skin types. We already have Squal(e)ne in our skin cells which makes it a highly compatible ingredient! Not to mention, this cleansing balm has a gorgeous and relaxing aroma! Removing your makeup is a must, but let’s not forget products like SPF, excess oils that build up on your skin, and irritants like bacteria and dirt, which all need to be removed at the end of the day. A double cleanse using the Grapefruit Cleansing Balm is the perfect way to refresh your complexion.
Oat Milk Cream Cleanser
Best for: Sensitive, Stressed, Dry and Combination skin
Benefits: Nourishing, Calming, Soothing
If you struggle with skin sensitivity, it can sometimes be difficult to find a cleanser gentle enough for you. The Oat Milk Cream Cleanser is perfect if you want something to nourish stressed skin. Organic Oat Milk, made from UK farmed oats, provides an ultra-soothing base. Alongside this, Oat Seed Oil is easily absorbed into the skin to help lock in moisture and promote a healthy skin barrier. The Sodium Lauroyl Oat Amino Acids act as a sulphate alternative, providing a non-stripping cleanse! The Oat Milk Cream Cleanser is also a great product to help gently lift makeup and other impurities.
Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Cleanser
Best for: Dry, Mature, Normal skin
Benefits: Hydrating, Anti-ageing, Skin Plumping
If cleansing has ever been an issue for you, let me introduce you to the Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Cleanser. Coco Betaine strikes up the lather whilst our two molecular weights of Hyaluronic Acid boost hydration levels. The larger weight conditions the surface of your skin, softening and soothing dry patches, whilst the smaller weight absorbs deep within your skin cells to help hydrate from within. Hyaluronic Acid is great for replenishing lost moisture, resulting in firmer and plumper skin, so this cleanser is perfect for anyone concerned with dryness and fine lines. The gentle blend of ingredients, including soothing Aloe Vera and a water base, make it the perfect cleanser for reactive skin.
Niacinamide Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser
Best for: Oily, Stressed, Combination, Blemish-prone skin
Benefits: Pore-minimising, Balancing, Calming
Niacinamide helps to rebalance and calm the skin, whilst minimising the appearance of congested pores making it ideal for oily and blemish-prone skin types. Using an exfoliating cleanser is an effective way to remove a build up of dead skin cells and provide a deep cleanse. As a natural alternative to microplastics, this cleanser uses Jojoba Esters to provide a gentle and eco-friendly exfoliation. Alongside Niacinamide, prebiotics Insulin and Fructose help to protect the skin microbiome against stress and pollutants. Together these ingredients provide protection against irritation and sensitivity, whilst promoting good bacteria and clear, calm skin.
