Azelaic Acid
What does it do?
Azelaic Acid is a key ingredient for maintaining a healthy, clear complexion. It has a multitude of benefits for blemish-prone skin, including sebum control and helping to prevent hyperpigmentation and post-breakout scars. Continued use can also help to prevent future skin congestion and help brighten the skin.
Where does it originate from?
Azelaic Acid is plant-derived and naturally occurring in grains such as wheat, barley and rye.
When should I use it?
This ingredient can be used day and/or night.
What skin type is it best suited to?
Azelaic Acid is best suited to stressed and blemish-prone skin types as it can help to control the overproduction of sebum which can often be the cause of increased breakouts.
What does it work well with?
Azelaic Acid works well with all ingredients, but in particular, it works well with Vitamin C when trying to achieve a more even skin tone.
